Eternum Bonus Mod
A downloadable mod for Windows, macOS, and Android
Welcome!
We are canchez and claimant32 (thus the C&C of C&CMods). We are huge fans of AVNs and the community around them so we wanted to give back. Our first project is a celebration of both of our favorite game Eternum by Caribdis. We think it represents some of the best that the genre can provide so we wanted to add a few "bonus features" that would enhance an already great game. Included are:
- Achievements Mod
- Adds over 70 achievements to the game with a popup and award noise
- Achievements persist across saves
- Adds an achievement gallery in the points screen (click the heart in the top left)
- Hidden and Platinum achievements for the truly dedicated.
- Phone Mod
- Adds a phone to the game with multiple screens
- Adds chats history, where you can read old chats with girls (and Chang)
- Adds Gallery with photos sent in chats
- Adds over 100 wallpapers for the phone
- Adds Music Player with more than 180 music tracks from the game
- Walkthrough Mod
- Adds highlighting for all recommended choices from official walkthrough
- Also highlight choices that lead to losing a girl's path
- All free roams are supported with custom images that match the native game UI.
- Support
- Two different installation methods, one with a compiled RPA for portability (recommended) or a folder for inspection of the mod files.
- Also tested to work on Android versions of the game, but saves compatibility is extremely unstable. Recommend starting and only using modded saves with Android.
- Detailed installation instructions are included in the zip files.

could i get a more dumbed down explanation on how to add theses?
If you are on Windows:
Download "Eternum_feature_mod_rpa.zip", unzip it, find where you have "Eternum.exe", there should be a folder "game" with "archive.rpa" inside. Put "mod.rpa" file from the archive you downloaded into that folder, right next to "archive.rpa"
If you are on Android:
Download and unzip "Eternum_feature_mod_rpa.zip". Put "mod.rpa" file into the "Documents/Ixalon/com.caribdis.eternum/game" folder. The folder should be in your "Internal storage" and should also contain "archive.rpa"
If you are on Mac:
Follow the instructions in README.txt, they are basically step-by-step
Make sure you have 0.7.5 version of the game (you can check it by opening the game and opening "Credits" screen) and don't have any other mods installed.
If everything is correct, you should see the phone icon below the heart icon and Achievement button in the Heart screen (the one that opens when you click the heart icon)

When will it be updated？I remember the main character was killed ha ha ha ha！
You can see progress reports for Eternum on Caribdis' Patreon, SubscribeStar pages or in Discord (you can find the links on Eternum's Itch page). We will update our mod when 0.8 comes out!

This is our first mod! No site, just using itch for now.
I can't seem to trigger the achievement part of the mod. don't see any achievement or the achievement gallery that is supposed to be on the point screen. I do have another walkthrough and gallery unlock mod, and my game is only version 0.7. Is it one of these reason ?
Most mods are not compatible with one another, so that is almost certainly the reason. More likely the gallery unlock mod than the walkthrough mod as it probably changes the heart menu.
reinstall the game to get the mod, i can only unlock things by replay the game with the mod ?
Yes the mod doesn't know what actions you have already taken in the game. So you need to do the actions that unlock achievements on a modded save (but once you do them it will remember them across saves!)
been replaying the game, really love the mod! add a whole more gaming vibe to the game. Btw, the first achievement wont be unlock in the gallery, even though I get it, I even try a few time.

This is really cool, specially the music part. Pale Carnations has this feature, a music room where you can not only play every track in the game whenever you want, but whenever a track plays you can go there and the name of the track gets highlighted. I wish every AVN had that.
im so glad to see @Caribdis get the love he/she deserves. yall at @cncmods are doing gods work. would it be safe to assume that the mod will be updated with concurrent releases of the game? Would yall consider making a mod for a completed game like once in a lifetime? thank you guys for doing what you do, and may fortune forever be in your favor. godspeed my friends
Yep we planning on updating the mod when 0.8 comes out this Fall. Not sure what our next mod will be, but maybe OiaLT!

Honestly I would LOVE a mod of Once In a Lifetime!!!! But we shall see what happens!
So does rpa mean Android or what?
Its just a different way to install the mod. Once lets you see the raw files and the other simpler to install (the RPA). We recommend downloading the RPA version and following the instructions there.

How do you access the achievement gallery. I dont see anything about achievements when i open the heart menu.
If the achievements button isn't showing up in the heart menu then the mod must not have installed correctly. Do you see a phone icon next to the heart icon? If not, try starting a new game and get to the train section. If you still aren't seeing the phone or the achievements option try re-installing.
Every other feature works and the achievements notification pops up.
I might have an older version of eternum.
That is very weird. PC, Mac or Android?
Pc. I have 0.7 and not 0.7.5 is that a problem?
Shouldn't be a problem for this specific issue. Hmmm. Can you post a screenshot of your heart menu? (The one with all the girl's portraits)
Do you have any other mod installed? It might override our changes to the heart menu
I had a mod but i deleted but i might not have deleted everything. I had a cheat option in the heart menu, i don't know if it was by this mod or the previous one but now that I downloaded a fresh 0.7.5 install it works and I thought it was just because I updated from 0.7.
Tried to do it for Android and it crashes every time ️😔
You will have to be more specific. Please tell us when exactly the crash happens. Would be perfect if you could provide a screenshot of an error that you get when it crashes or a traceback/log file. I think "log.txt" and "traceback.txt" should be located in "Documents/Ixalon/com.caribdis.eternum" folder
Common issues that might happen:
Glad it resolved! Android handles saves a little different so some of them will not work. If a save file is close to big transitions ("Few days later"/"Few hours later" screens) it has a higher chance of successfully loading. Safest way is to start a new game, mod is designed for a full playthrough anyway
Ah yes so I can now insult in game characters by pulling out my in game phone and playing in game phone games just for that extra insult. I know it's probably not in the mod but it'd be hilarious.
this is how you know a game is good, also what the difference between the two?
Rpa zip has all of the mod files compiled in one which makes it easier to install or remove. Other zip allows you to see all of the files without extra steps in case you want to see what's added. We recommend using rpa, especially on Android
They are just different ways to install the mod. One has the raw files and the other has them packaged into an RPA (think of it like a zip file). The RPA version makes it easier to remove the mod later, the raw files is better if you want to read the code / check what we are doing.

Your mod adds the more gamey features into Eternum, those that other AVNs usually have. To be honest, I always liked the "streamlined" approach Eternum took, where less is more. I feel that gamey features often take away from a VN's immersion.
But I'm sure there are quite a few people who always wanted these features in Eternum and now there's a mod for them, which is great! I may not be the target audience but I still have some feedback for you:

Okay I only looked quickly over it. I saw a comment a day or two ago suggesting the dev doesn't help if something happens because of stuff like this?
Sorry I don't quite understand what you mean.
If you mean that developer of the game will not help you if you experience any bugs while having mods installed then most likely yes. Not because he doesn't want to but because he might not be able to. You can't always determine if the issue happened because of the mod or not so it's harder to help with that.
and how do you fix something like that? simply removing the app again? I never really got ananswer on that for example on steam, if that would revert any changes.
So an inherent risk of using mods is that it might make your saves incompatible with the base game. Caribdis (the developer of Eternum) can't really help you fix saves that break in that way. We have tested the current version of the mod with the latest release of Eternum (0.7.5) and have verified that both modded saves work in unmodded games and unmodded saves work in modded games. This *could* change when the new release comes out this fall, but I think it is unlikely. If you run into any issues let me know and I can probably fix your save for you.
